Funny how the media had no problem obsessing Biden’s mental fitness which makes me think that trashing older people’s mental competence is acceptable while slamming someone for mental illness is not.

Trump has clearly had mental health problems most of his life but now he is clearly in cognitive decline as he ages on top of his severe personality disorders and moral turpitude.Since the media had no problem obsessing over what they saw as Biden’s cognitive decline due to old age they should be running headline after headline about Trump’s far worse cognitive sate. It seems journalists are far more convinced of Biden’s decline because of his halting gait, likely due to arthritis as — if he has arthritis of the brain.

I strongly agree about the ageism. A cartoon in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution by Mike Luckovich from October 2023 showed President Biden costumed as Superman, catching a falling aircraft just before it crashed, and a chorus of voices arose from the passenger cabin: “Too old!” One might perhaps ask the families of the hostages released from Putin’s dungeons, in a complex negotiation concluded hours before Biden resigned his candidacy, whether they thought the president’s wits were as befuddled as the Vichy Times writers evidently did in one piece after another suggesting his mental decline.

This question has been asked an answered with anyone who has objective eyes to see and ears to hear. Sadly that has not included corporate media. Better late than never.

"Former Republican candidate for governor Tudor Dixon insisted: 'If you were a true narcissist, you could never do what Donald Trump does every day. You couldn’t handle the attacks he goes through.'" Tudor Dixon obviously isn't a psychologist or psychiatrist. A narcissist can easily bat away criticisms by demeaning the person, which Trump does on a regular basis, and convince themselves that they are always right. (I've been a psychologist for 46 years.) A neuropsychologist would be a good choice to consult.

yes, let's hope....

"Pessimism of the intellect, optimism of the will."

the intellect does think it highly unlikely the political press has the character for it, but the will says, "surprise me."

You’re so great! Tell me again how to contribute without going through your official way. I can’t do it there.

The established media admit that they were wrong by only focusing on Pres. Biden? Oh, come now. Trump has always been mentally challenged. He has always been a malignant narcissist, he has always been xenophobic, a liar, a sexual assaulter. And the likes of the NY Times and the WaPo? That's just Donald!

Maybe there is a question that needs to be asked, would you let one of you children marry him? Would you want him as part of your family or running the family news company? No? Then why do you give him a bye when he is running for the most important job in the world? If you won't trust him with any part of you life, why won't you tell the rest of the world that? What is the problem?
